MOVING TO FLORIDA

1991

In early 1991 I drove from the West Coast to the East Coast of the United States. The American masters whose work I love – photographers such as William Eggleston, Stephen Shore and Lee Friedlander – shaped the way I saw the urban and rural landscapes around me, and this came through in everything I shot. Later that year, I showed some of the photos I’d taken on the road trip at Christine Abrahams Gallery in Melbourne.
